BRT Hosts Final OSIRIS Symposium and Consortium Meeting in Prague
From 5–7 October 2026, the BioResources & Technology Division (BRT) at the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences (FTZ), Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU), hosted the final symposium and consortium meeting of the Horizon Europe OSIRIS project. The event brought together international researchers, project partners and stakeholders to reflect on four years of collaboration and discuss the future of Open Science and research reproducibility.
Held under the title “The Legacy of OSIRIS: Open Science for Reproducible Research”, the two-day symposium (5–6 October) provided a platform to share key project findings, practical tools and recommendations developed to strengthen reproducibility across the research ecosystem.
Throughout the event, participants explored topics ranging from research policies and reproducibility interventions to training, institutional responsibilities and the implementation of Open Science practices. Interactive workshops and a stakeholder panel also encouraged discussions on how OSIRIS results can be translated into practical action and sustained beyond the project's lifetime.
As part of the programme, Assoc. Prof. Hynek Roubík, Director of BRT and Dean of FTZ, presented the work carried out under Work Package 6 (WP6), focusing on communication, dissemination and impact. His presentation highlighted efforts to make research findings more accessible to different audiences to support the wider uptake of OSIRIS recommendations.
Following the symposium, the OSIRIS consortium gathered on 7 October for an internal meeting at CZU, reflecting on the discussions from the preceding days and reviewing the project's final activities. The meeting also provided an opportunity to explore future collaboration, the sustainability of project outputs and ways to ensure the long-term impact of OSIRIS.
Hosting these events at FTZ highlighted BRT's active involvement in international research collaboration and its contribution to strengthening the communication and accessibility of scientific knowledge. As OSIRIS approaches its formal conclusion, the focus now turns towards ensuring that its findings, tools and resources continue to support more transparent, trustworthy and reproducible research.
