Looking Back on 2025: BRT Newsletter

With 2025 now behind us, the BioResources & Technology (BRT) Division reflects on a year defined by collaboration, innovation, and global engagement. From new research outputs and international projects to academic milestones and community-building events, 2025 marked a period of steady progress across BRT’s research, education, and outreach activities.

The 2025 Recap BRT Newsletter brings together the key moments that shaped the year. More than a collection of updates, this recap reflects BRT’s broader mission: translating research into real-world impact through interdisciplinary work, international cooperation, and a strong commitment to sustainability. Each section offers a snapshot of how science, policy, and practice intersect within BRT’s work. The newsletter also celebrates the people at the heart of BRT,  welcoming new team members, recognising PhD graduates, and showcasing our interns.

We invite you to explore the BRT 2025 Newsletter and revisit the stories, milestones, and collaborations that defined the year. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making 2025 a year of growth and impact,  we look forward to building on this momentum in the year ahead!
