V-BIOCHAR Project Partners Meet to Finalize Project Implementation Plan
On May 5, 2025, the core partners of the V-BIOCHAR project — the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU), ADRA Cambodia, and ADRA Czech Republic — held an internal coordination meeting to finalize the implementation plan for this groundbreaking initiative aimed at promoting climate-smart farming in Cambodia’s Pursat province.
During the meeting, partners reviewed the detailed timeline and key milestones for the project, including the establishment of demonstration sites, training programs for core teams and local business leaders, and community outreach strategies. Special attention was given to tailoring the pyrolysis unit prototypes to local conditions, maximizing community engagement, and ensuring strong gender inclusion throughout project activities.
The team also discussed coordination mechanisms, responsibilities, and communication strategies to ensure smooth execution and effective monitoring. CZU emphasized its upcoming technical support and training modules, while ADRA Cambodia outlined field logistics and stakeholder engagement strategies. ADRA Czech Republic shared updates on financial planning, donor reporting, and monitoring frameworks. This productive session marked a strong start to the implementation phase, reaffirming the shared commitment of all partners to deliver sustainable impact through innovation, collaboration, and capacity building.

Next week, BRT will join a V-BIOCHAR project meeting with ADRA Cambodia, our local partner, to discuss the project timeline and upcoming activities. PhD student and project manager Jan Staš, along with researcher Dr. Chama Ketuama, will travel to Cambodia to deliver training sessions, host workshops, and officially launch project activities.
