Prof. Ing. Jan Banout, Ph.D., BRT Senior Researcher and Advisor
Prof. Banout is a University Professor and senior researcher in Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture Practices in Developing Countries, particularly food and organic waste processing technology. His primary working skills include teaching, research, field investigation, and surveys, as well as solid experience as a senior consultant in the disciplines mentioned above, mainly in developing countries. In addition, he is an expert in evaluating projects/grants and case studies oriented on research for development (RforD). He was a manager or member of the research team for several RforD projects conducted in Latin America, Africa, and Asia, focusing on sustainable development of agriculture technology, food processing, and organic waste management. As a former dean of the FTZ, he has vast experience in managing academic and research institutions, strategic planning, personal communication, human resources, and internal institutional evaluation. He is also an experienced guest speaker and lecturer at several European, Asian, and African universities. He has strong experience publishing and reporting research results in peer-reviewed scientific journals indexed on the Web of Science.
