This year, four master students and three bachelor students from the Biogas Research Team successfully defended their thesis.
Enjoy reading more about their research activities!
Ayeah Gideon Gobti - Was a master's student at the Biogas Research Team under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Hynek Roubík. His research focused on “Influencing Factors for Household Decisions on Adoption and Use of Biogas Technology: The Case of Bamenda, North West Region of Cameroon”
His topic was aiming to reveal factors underlying the adoption and utilization of biogas technology at the household (farm) level, showing the key variables influencing the adoption and utilization of the technology.
Our gratitude also goes to Prof. Julius Tangka from the University of Dschang (Cameroon), who was the reviewer and opponent of this thesis.
Congratulations to Ayeah Gideon Gobtifor on completing his MSc studies!

BSc STUDENTS:
Jana Larbi - Was a bachelor student at the Biogas Research Team under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Hynek Roubík with her research focused on “Valorisation of Spent Coffee Grounds for Bioenergy Purposes”.
Her topic was aiming to assess the possibility of using spent coffee grounds (SCGs) for bioenergy production. The review intends to offer insights into the processes, and economic and environmental factors related to the exploitation of SCGs. It also intends to illustrate the difficulties and potential outcomes of scaling up SCGs valorisation for sustainable bioenergy production.
Thanks also goes to Dr. Eduardo Duque Dussan from the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (Czechia), who was the reviewer and opponent of this thesis.
Congratulations to Jana Larbi for completing her BSc studies!
