A Farewell, but Not a Goodbye: Wishing Dr. Yelizaveta Chernysh Every Success in Her New Role
It’s always a moment of mixed emotions when we say farewell to a valued colleague. Today, I write with both pride and gratitude as we mark a new professional chapter for Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yelizaveta Chernysh, senior researcher in the BioResources and Technology (BRT) Division at the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences (FTZ), Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU).
Dr. Chernysh is now moving to a new position at the Environmental Problems Research and Application Center at Mugla Sitki Koçman University, Turkey. This move represents an exciting opportunity for her to expand her scientific work and impact in new environments, while continuing to address pressing environmental challenges.
Yelizaveta has been an integral part of the BRT family for many years. Her scientific and rigorous approach have contributed enormously to our research, education, and international outreach. She played as well critical part in development of our BRT-Lab. From mentoring young scientists to co-developing project proposals, she has left an enduring mark on our division.
But again, this is not a goodbye, and that is what makes this moment even more meaningful. I am truly pleased that Dr. Chernysh will continue to collaborate with BRT as a senior researcher, bridging our institutions and expanding the horizons of our joint work. Her new role will allow for new synergies, deeper connections, and exciting interdisciplinary cooperation between our teams in Czechia and Mugla in Turkey.
As Dean of the Faculty and Director of the BRT Division, I am proud of all that Dr. Chernysh has accomplished, and I am confident that she will continue to thrive and inspire wherever she goes. Our entire community joins me in wishing her great success, new discoveries, and continued satisfaction in her work.
Yelizaveta, thank you for everything you have done, and everything you continue to do. Your journey is far from over with us, and we look forward to what lies ahead!
