Aim of the Project:
The project aims at assessing current situation of small – scale biogas systems and estimating the potential for further development in middle and large-scale installations in Thua Thien Hue province, central Vietnam. The technical assistance covers evaluation of all steps of the market chain; economical evaluation of existing support of small-scale biogas plants (BGPs); analysis of potential for middle and large scale biogas plants in municipalities, agricultural farms and food processing industry.
Outputs of the Project:
- Analysis of economic and environmental benefits of existing support scheme for small-scale biogas plants
- Analysis of potential and feasible technical and socio-economical solutions of medium and large scale biogas installations in community farms, medium agricultural enterprises and large installations in food processing industry
- Development of an economic model for the most feasible solutions including energy production and digestate utilization
- Support of the development of pilot projects
- Capacity building of supply chain
